Has any one here installed a VIS or GTP C/F Hood? Please give me your opinion on it? I hear GTP C/F Hood has a bad weave? what does that mean? if any of you can please give me some advise please.

I'm been offered either one for $275 and i think thats a good deal, but is it? thanks to any one who can put some sense to this minor cunfusion.

 

Go with VIS !!! I had GTP before I got VIS. GTP start to rattle at 70 mph. As for the finishing VIS a lot better than GTP. Just pm me if you have more question.[img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]

i have the VIS one on my car and i'm going to have to get hood pins to stop it from moving at 45 mph or more

 

yea I heard that is what happens with their hoods. They are not all that great in quality...

 

I know VIS reco's hood pins, but why do some peeps say they need them and others don't. I actuall haven't seen one G with a CF hood and installed the hood Pins. Is it luck of the draw, or when you get a CF Hood is it a choice between hood pins vs vibrations? Anyone know?

I have a VIS CF Hood and the fastest I've gone is around 100mph so far no rattles. I guess it is luck of the draw, the fitment is perfect.

 

what is the weight comparison of the cf hood to the stock hood?

I have the GTP hood, trunk lid and Carbon Creations wing. The hood is perfect, no rattles or problems, as well as everything else....
