Should I do 35% side windows, 20% rear glass? OR 20% side windows, 5% rear glass?

Should I do 35% side windows, 20% rear glass? OR 20% side windows, 5% rear glass?

Seriously. I don't like the 'all around' look, because I don't believe the back side perspective of people's head should be easier to see than the sides, when in the sun. The back window ALWAYS looks lighter than the side windows in the sun. So the rear glass should always be darker, for a true uniform look in the sun, which is what tint is for right?

Now the big question, should I stay lighter, or go darker...35 vs. 20. I was down the shore and saw plenty tinted cars. 5% even looked real good. But I don't need it THAT dark, plus cops are annoying. I think 35 does have a 'classy' look which is nice, but the 20 has a sporty aggressive look. Just can't decide ugh.

Pics would help, I have liquid platinum. So it can be very bright at times, and then like the moon at night.

thats what i got on my car man. It looks good. The back window is very dark and by making the back window darker you definately compensate for having light come through the windshield

my tint guy gave me some good advice. which i think looks great on my G... 15% all around and 30% on the windshield. i wouldn't change a thing! he showed me his portfolio of cars he did and was showing me how much better it looks when everything matches when the side windows match with the rear.

Nah dude, the rear's gotta be darker. I just got it done! looks great. Unless of course you're tinting the windshield, then you don't need to, but I wouldn't tint my front windshield..

Wow, 30% on the front windshield? I thought 50% on the front was dark...

Some dude on here has 5% on ALL 6 windows. Nutz.

I love my tinted windshield. Actually, I wish it was darker. I have 70%, but want 50-60%.

That's the setup I have now and it looks good.
I had 15% on the sides but got a tint ticket so I went with 35% because the tint shop I was referred to didn't have 20%.
Needless to say it looked like @ss to me so I went back to my orig tint shop and got 20% on the sides.
Looks 10 times better!
I deff wouldn't want it any lighter.

Yeah, I'm just not into tinting the front.

Yeah def, I still sometimes go eh, I want 5% all around lol. But 20 will do, and cops better leave me alone.

Just to add, its funny how cops say they don't like tint, because of them approaching the car, it makes them 'nervous' or 'stressed'......how about don't approach my car? Cuz I'm not doing anything but driving. If you see me pull a gun out start firing, doing a couple donuts, while screaming I hate pigs...when then yes, then you can be all nervous approaching my 'tinted' vehicle.

Just wondering for you guys with tints, is it hard to see out the window? Especially the rears or like when its raining?

Also does the darker tints really keep your car a bit cooler in the summer time?

You should get 20% sides and 5% rear window if you can get away with it.
