Anyone install their own OEM lip?

My girlfriend got me the OEM lip for my birthday...damn she's awesome...anyway..

As the title says, has anyone installed the OEM lip to their coupe yet? I just wanted a few tips on installing it, it doesn't seem very hard from the instructions provided in the box. Although I am scared about drilling into my bumper! Tips, suggestions, DIY with pics would be fabolous.

"She's a definite keeper."

She sure is man, can't beleive she actually bought it.

But back to the lip...Any ideas on if its even worth doing it on my own, or to get infiniti to put it on. LIke i said before, i'm just a little worried with drilling into my stock bumper!

Re: Anyone install their own OEM lip?

Did you have to take out the bumper to do the install??
I just purchased one myself from everythingg35.com and had them fax me the instructions. It looks a little complicated, but i guess I have to wait for the lip and the parts to get here to get an idea if I want to spend an hour to do this.

Re: Anyone install their own OEM lip?

the only thing that youll have to take off is the bottom plastic cover and a few bolts for the fender wells. youll also have to turn the wheels to either side to get a drill in there for the side screws.

definitely invest in a 10mm wrench with a ratcheting head. this will allow easy access to the side nuts and you will always use it for later projects.

how much are the dealerships asking for install?

Re: Anyone install their own OEM lip?

thanks for the lip Glenn....install took about 2 hours

not that hard..just takes a little elbow greese pulling the lip to make the bolts go in the holes
