2005 Infiniti G35X

I recently was in my trunk and moved my sub (aftermarket) to grab something and my ground wire from my amp came off. My car was on and idling and when i got back in the driver side i realized the following:

- No power to my amp at all but most likely caused by the next
- no power to my double din after market deck
- No power to my odometer, speedometer, and the gear display. Although the warning lights still work. So no back light to any of the gauges.

Now i checked all my fuses (even back of the deck) and cant find any that seem to be blown unless i am unless missing one. But i dont understand as to how my ground wire coming off would cause my deck and especially my gauges to go out.

Note: Unsure if the deck is connected to the dimmer in my car but when i changed the brightness it did not affect my deck.

What could be the issue? and what could i do or check before i get raped at the dealership??

 

did you check the fuses that are behind the battery? i recall blowing a fuse and had to take the battery out in order to reach the fuses behind it. i did a search on this forum and found out about those fuses.
