Oh, do they come gloss black from the factory on that year sedans? I'd like to have mine painted gloss black, but I can't afford the downtime of having to remove my side mirrors for paint since this is my DD . I'd rather have them matte black than the dull, sun-faded look it has now lol.

I thought all models had gloss black mirror bases.. yours came matte black and faded or came color matched and faded? Anyway, I think you can do it. 1 question.. on mine, the bottom half of the mirror is black to.. do you want it like that or just the stem.. because if you want both, I think you will need to paint 1 part, dry, then paint the other.

Plasti Dip*
and the reason why is because its very easy to repair (if it gets scratched, repaint the area.. no need to sand and repaint the whole thing like with paint), requires little prep (just clean the surface), and can be removed.

Thats my car :P, That was way long time ago, Mother Black to Black really helped hide it but you needed to apply over again since it was not permanent.

I have since gotten them sprayed with OB

Damn, I did not know my car was that dirty lol, looks like a layer of dust ha

Here is a daytime pic.. only one I was able to take today while I was getting her washed. It held up through the wash btw.. and yes I normally do it my self but I had a free coupon and this place is great but usually like 45 bucks for a wash lol.

I have seen some people do it so I think im going to plasti dip these rims for the winter as my new warm weather rims are going to be varrstoens.

Here is some more plasti dip work.. I painted my grill and sold it to my friend with a g37. I charged him 200 for it plus his grill in return which is in better shape then mine was before paint.

djfarhan: there is no diffuser that needs fitment. I painted the bumper section that is known as the diffuser.. the lower indented part.

hows the diffuser holding up against the environment? any chips from rocks or any problems with rain/washing your car?

no rock chips yet, no damage from wash or rain. The edge is a bit messed up in 1 or 2 spots but that's because I should have scored it before removing the tape. I will fix that soon though.
