So is there a something random to activate it.,like turn on blinker and then push? What prevents anyone from starting it and just taking off?

I think you can rewire it to turn on only when you press something. The alarm remote is what prevents it from anyone starting. in order to activate the touch start button you have to press the unlock button on your remote.. and whenever your alarm goes on the touch start button wont work.

So if for some reason you forget to lock your doors, someone could start the engine and drive away (without having a key obviously)?

I read the website and it said if you forget to unlock your car, after 60 seconds the button will be inactive not allowing the car to be drivable until you go back i will test that also
