I just know the burnt Titanium **** will look great inside SLICK as soon as my black shifter boot arrives. Any one know if that indicator plate on my '04 just pops up or do I need to remove the entire consul to install the boot?

You gotta pull down on the bottom of the oem **** and pull out the ring holding the ****, then you take the **** off and make sure you put the footbrake on because you'll need to put your car into Neutral. Towards the rear of the center console where it meets with the cupholder pull up on the back of the console and it'll come right up, underneath the console there is one or two wires that you may leave connected or remove for better access. Theres 3 screws holding your shift plate onto the console, remove those screws and the shift plate comes right off and you can put the new boot on and then put it all back together

I believe you have to remove the entire console to install it but locksmith should be able to clarify. I still need to install mine and that's what I have to do on my 06.
