Headlight led wiring help

Hi. I just got my headlights modded with an LED ring behind the projector that comes on with the parking lights. But when I got them back from the modder, I noticed a loose single red/black wire chilling in the housing. I tried hooking up the headlight and sure enough, no LED ring was visible. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do now? I emailed the modder but he hasnt gotten back to me yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like the modder didn't do it right.

Light needs to go back in the oven and come a part. He either didn't twist it or doesn't solder.

It looks like I could just splice the red/black wires into the parking light wires... but is that what I'm supposed to do? And what could I use to splice them in?

find the parking light wires and solder them to appropriate polarity.
