Re: clear corner bulbs

just so you know, the piaa blue bulbs are VERY visible and chances are you will get pulled over. i ran some chrome bulbs from pepboys for quite some time with no problem. the headlight drowns out the blue when you want to hide them.

Re: clear corner bulbs

Depending on your local, running real blue lights in the corners or clearance lights may get you a fix it ticket or fine.....
I like the blue look myself, but went for a more subtle look with the Extreme whites ....

Go with Piaa Extreme white/blue LED if you want a blue color
try importperformancewarehouse.com I had mine in two days....and the prices were very reasonable

Re: clear corner bulbs

Those are the bulbs I used, however, the digital picture makes them appear more blue than with the naked eye......
If you are looking for a blue color, I suggest you check out this thread It should give you a pretty good idea of all the different Piaa bulb/Led combinations everyone else has tried......

Good luck with you choice.....

Re: clear corner bulbs

Another shot with my Piaa Extreme Whites and MTEC super white H4 fog/high bulbs that I installed last Feb......

These are the LED's I had mentioned earlier in the thread. The Blue/White LED is the one that has some blue appearance...the BLUE/BLUE is true blue like the Pic of Afr0puff's car in the "lights the final answer" thread....

Re: clear corner bulbs

IMO none of the clearance bulb I've seen so far are bright enough. I went from 4LED to 6LED, tried the PIAA LED, and now considering moving up to either 9LED 230ma or the new PIAA Tera (1W) setup. It takes a lot of light to sufficiently illuminate the whole clearance strip, and thus far most of them are too dim.

Re: clear corner bulbs

I notice on the clearence strip, if you look closely where the bulb goes (from the outside) you can see that light fixture actually has a little wall like tab that appears to block some of the light from traveling down the clearence strip. Probably gonna be tough to find sumtin that will fill that section completely w/o having ahot spot at the top!
I dunno why Infinity didn't design that a lil better to allow more even lightflow!

Re: clear corner bulbs

it maybe to prevent a loose bulb from falling all the way in the strip.....I know a few that have lost a bulb in the top section, so it almost seems logical that that is the case......

I myself would love the strip to be more evenly lit........
I even considered removing that pc. of plastic and running a neon light assembly down the entire strip....(the flexible kind)....

In the meantime, I'm content with the looks of my Piaa Extreme Whites...

Re: clear corner bulbs

haha..i hear you man..i think the plastic piece is most likely to block the loose bulbs..(i picked it up twice because of that thing...good thing i have skinny fingers) ...
