Stock Halogens to HID switch out
Stock Halogens to HID switch out
Hey everyone
I have the halogen lamps on my 2003 (early) sedan - I have been looking into switching them for an HID setup. I've found a pair of stock HID headlamps at a salvage yard (actually, there are alot of them around). Is it possible/feasible to completely change out the ENTIRE assembly (stock to stock HID?) I realize there is a ballast that wasn't there before, just wondering what you guys have run into. I read a few of the other posts and it seems that another alternative is to buy an upgrade kit aftermarket? A few posts mentioned you have to switch out the reflectors to avoid "hot spots" and other problems. They would run me $700 for the set of two, which includes everything. The dealer quoted me around a grand apiece brand new....
Thanks!
