I hit some ice and took out my front bumper and lip. For starters I have a 2005 G35 Coupe with sport pack and the areo package. The lip is split on one side and has some chunks taken out of it. They want to "fix" it but I don't belive they can do this and make it look good and be just as strong as before becaue they will have to fill places along the edge to bring back the full shape.

Does anyone know of a place that has the OEM lip I can direct the shop to so they can buy the part? I am being told that the part is discountiniued and they can not find the lip any place. I found the lip on "japanparts" listed for the Skyline v35 (Item 083-108-026).

I understand they are the same car but can anyone confirm the bumpers dont have slight differences? It costs a good amount but if it is the only option it is what they will have to do.

Side note, the car is 6 years old and they have no parts?...

 

You might be able to find some used rather than brand new, and if you really want to order from Japan-parts, you should also check availability before ordering, as far as differences, there are none for the front bumper US or JP spec.
