Plasti Dip Side Skirts, Front Lip and Rear Lip ?

Just used plasti-dip on my grill and it came out great. Now, I'm considering doing the same thing to my side skirts, front lip and rear lip as well. They're just the stock ones, but they're old and faded and until I can get the sport bumper and the rest of the lip kit, I'd like to make them a little bit better and not faded.

Anyone here ever plasti-dipped your lip kit or have any reservations against doing so? Thanks.

It's going to look horrible..

It looks good on your grill and emblems or whatever else small you've dipped because they're small pieces with sharp angles..

When you do something like a body panel it'll look okay from far away but up close your plasti dip wont be even and it'll look horrible >.<

Google plasti dipped cars to see pictures then try to see one for yourself in person x.x Or try like a large sized item and dip it first before you do it

Thanks for the input. I've decided against the plastidip and will just have the lower valences refinished and painted instead

Easy there killer lol.

Plasti dip looks just as clean as vinyl if you spray it correctly.

I dont know why you think it would look horrible up close?

Congrats on your plastidipped car. Even you only did it as a temporary thing.

How about you "easy there killer" yourself...
True. However if you DO do it right, then there is a chance it could come out very good.

Since doing my car ive done a CLK55AMG, a GSXR 600 and the my Ariel Atom (It was black anyways so easy)

You say congrats on the car likes its cheap, and "Welfare" well fact is this is quickly coming popular up here in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal as an alternative to a full body wrap. Since I install both at my shop, I can offer both.

I recently sponsered a Drift car, and were doing the entire car in Plasti dip... as Vinyl graphics can easily be installed overtop.

That textured look everyone fears, thats from it being too thick... thin it out 50/50 and it goes on smooth as butter, albiet many coats later.

p.s. I like your car... alot
