Factory aero kit installed, brake light on spoiler not working

I had the dealer i got my coupe from install the factory aero kit, but the brake light on the spoiler is out. they spent about an hour and a half troubleshooting and and determined that it's something in the wiring harness and were not able to fix it at that time...

the car is brand new and has less than 500 miles on it so i'm a little curious as to whether there really is a problem with the harness, or is there something so simple that it would easily be overlooked? the brake light in the rear window does work and the wires to the wing are connected.

They may have messed up the wiring if the dealer installed the spoiler. Are you sure that you have an OEM spoiler, or an aftermarket one? I had teh dealer instal the spoiler on my car and after a while i noticed it wasn't like the other G35's, and i got a knockoff. The LED is slighly wider on the aftermarket spoilers, and i'm sure the wiring is prolly different as well.

My problem is where to attach the brake light wiring to... my friends and I tried putting it through to the rear brake lamp, and there's like 4 different options--at one point when I put my car in reverse the brake light would come on!! As of now... it's on the wrong one... when my car lights are on, the rear spoiler comes on... it doesn't act as a brake light, I use my rear windshield pod for that...

Yeah, definitely RussB, you should make the dealership hook you up... me on the other hand I've been playing w/ the wiring, so I doubt they'd even consider helping me (I did a DIY trunk swap)... anybody done the same thing and can lend a hand?
