Anybody know about HID lights?

Anybody know about HID lights?

So my 04 comes with HIDs and they work find and all but I wanted to make them brighter would I have to buy a whole new kit or can i just get a diffrent watt light bulbs or what I don't really know about HIDs so if anybody could help that be cool

If it's a coupe, listen to IvoryGT. 06 comes with factory HID projectors, which are a lot better than HID reflectors.

If it's a sedan, you can't fit in the coupe lights, so you'd need to do an HID projector retrofit. There's a few worklogs around here on the subject.

Changing the wattage on HID bulbs is done by modifying or replacing your existing 35W ballasts. It will decrease the bulb lifespan though. Better off doing a retrofit or swapping in 06 lights if you can.

Ah ok cool yea I have a coupe thanks guys I'll look into getting 06 lights I like Projector headlights any way

Just curious, if I were however to change the ballasts to 55w ballasts. Would the light output be brighter or would they just warm up faster?
