what is this piece and where does it go to??
found it in the glove compartment...

Looks like your "Card Holder". It goes above the Driver Door and is supposed to hold documents like Insurance, Registration or Toll Pass...

Incorrect. That is one of two pieces provided by Nissan to cover the holes in case the owner chooses to remove the padded armrest in the center console.
