I'm in the process of installing new OEM door lock actuators and I realize now I should have bought the $5 ones and saved myself the hassle. But since I already have them and am almost done with the first one I'm going to stick with these for now.

My driver side door is almost completely taken apart; the window is out, window rails and motor etc. the door lock actuator is out except for the cable connecting it to the door handle piece.

Much to my frustration I cannot figure out how to get the door handle (the entire system) out. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I've searched this forum and others and checked infinitihelp to no avail.

To get the handle out you need to remove one screw which is found on the side of the door. So open the door and you'll see a black cover. Remove it and underneath you'll find a star shaped screw. Remove that and the whole handle should come out.
