Driver Seat Switch removal

I have an 04 G35 Sedan. Do I need to remove the seat in order to remove the driver seat control switches ? I can't seem to be able to just pop the switch assembly out, and don't want to break it.

Thanks

Hey man,
take a look at this diagram of the Sedan power seat, I assume you have power seat....

there's two bolts holding it in, you should not have to remove the seat to get to the switches

Thank you very much for the diagram. I will try it this weekend. Not sure if I can get at the bolts though. It's right up against the center console.
Thanks again

You can unscrew the switch assembly without taking the chair out, at least in the sedan. But the diagram doesn't show the cable that it's connected to. Pretty difficult to work on it while the cable is still attatched. You definitely have to at least pop the 4 bolts off the chair to get to the bottom to get the cable out, since it is ziptied to the seat.

Okay... thanks for your help. I will take the bolts off and see if I can get at it.

One more question, where are the bolts in the back to remove the seat ?

The seat is all the way back so I'm not sure if it's hiding the bolts.

Thanks

there's several posts about taking out the seats. It's the same as the front, there are plastic pieces covering the bolts. it's best to move the seat all the way forward to get to them. If you can't, just follow the rails from the front. The back cover pieces are kind of bigger and longer, not just little caps, but more rectangular.

OK I think I've seen the cover pieces. I can't move the seat up though, that's the initial problem... so I hope I can get at the rear bolts.

Thanks again !
