Speaker rings and small aluminum dash bar removal

Hi guys,

I'm in the middle of wrapping my aluminum trim in carbon fiber vinyl and I'm stuck as to how to remove a coupe pieces.

The first piece is the aluminum ring that goes around the speakers. Do I need to remove the door panel to pop them out?

The second piece is the small aluminum dash bar to the left of the steering wheel. It doesn't seem to pop out like the long one on the right does.

Thanks for your input.

For the speakers remove the door panels and the slim piece on the dash I would try a thin screwdriver with tape on it to pop it out..

The small one on the left won't pop out, it's screwed in from behind. Two small philips head if I remember right. You have to remove the plastic dash panels on that side (don't go crazy, just start from the bottom up) to unscrew it.

You need to remove the door panels to get at the speaker trim rings. They have plastic posts that are melted to the plastic door panel base. Use a heat gun to remelt the plastic and pull the rings off. Reinstall using the same method. The small horizontal trim piece to the left of the steering column is attached to the vent. Remove the underdash cover and screw that secures the vent to remove.
