Cluster w or w/o nav

I have an 03 coupe with navi and want to put in a 05 cluster but does the navi make a difference when doing the swap?

I've looked and AT or 6speed make a difference but no one ever says if the navi makes a difference. Asked a junkyard where they have the cluster they said it doesn't but I don't know if they just want to make there money

From last time I read about it it doesn't matter.. I'm not sure if extra work needs to be done to the cluster to get it to work.. Just make sure the cluster u get has the pigtails plugged into it..

Your best bet is to make your own harness that u can plug into the car then into the back of the cluster so u aren't cutting and splicing your oem harness..

Ok thanks ill look into that, I was going to have 2 harness ends one for the 05 cluster and one for the 03cluster but having a whole harness swapped modded sounds better thanks

I've done the mod. It does matter, because the nav is linked into with the starting. From what I heard if you have factory navigation, and your new cluster does not your car won't start. I'm not 100 percent. I will go home and hook mine up without the nav in and see though.

Um..... Well my car would not start, but it was a dead battery, and then I noticed the tube coming off my turbo was busted, so I won't be starting her today or tomorrow... Once I start the car I will tell you though haha.
