Cover scratches with paint, touch up spray, procedure

Hi guys,

over the years, and after letting some (unexperienced) friends, and back-then unexperienced me drive around with the beautiful car, it acquired some nasty scratches.

I have a few questions:
1. Attaching some photos to describe the damage (I know, it's pretty harsh), what would be the best approach to fix it?
2. There is something coming off on the side of the car, by the door, is that clear coat? How can I fix it? The previous owner has told me that he painted the door, due to minor damage.
3. After some research, I am considering to buy a touch up spray, primer, and clear coat for it. From my first question, how should I get started on it? What do I use? 800 grid sand paper, etc.? Automotivetouchup or Dr Color Chip for my purpose?

Or would it be better for me to get the whole thing painted at a shop? I can live with the damage, but I wanted to spare 40-70 dollars to "fix" it a little, a few hundred for a paint shop is too pricey as of now. Or are there jobs that can do it for cheap?

I know, it's a disgrace to have scratches like that. Color code is WV2, Diamond Graphite.

Looks like he ran right over a curb stop a few times, however; im not sure if there is much you can do to fix this other than having the front bumper repainted which might cost a few hundred to be done right.

That's definitely a way to fix it, but are there any cheaper alternatives that I can consider?

If you want it to look right you would have to have each panel repainted individual, you might be able to have someone touch it up but it might not look very well.

Only fix is to have it repainted. No amounts of touch up will make it look nice again. A body shop can probably re-clear the door if the base paint isn't damaged. As for the front bumper it will definitely need to be completely re-done which might cost 350-550 on average to repaint.

Thanks for the information!
Approximately how much is re-clearing the door going to the cost, assuming the base paint isn't damaged?

I will probably get a new bumper in the future as I have too many dents on there. Where can I get an (maybe refurbished) OEM bumper that doesnt need to be painted?

Not sure. You can search on here or a junkyard for a used one. Other option would be aftermarket or new one from dealership. No reason really why a good body shop couldn't fix it.

Sounds good. Ill research about/find out what prices for used, refurbished, new from different places are in comparison to fixing it from different shops.

Thanks
