Hello, i bought an 04 sedan as a beater since i have a kid on the way. I dont want to put too much money into it, but the fact that it cant play my mp3 songs irks me a little. i see the adapters are a bit pricey for aux/ipod etc. does anyone know of a double din thats perfect size to fit into the oem "square" hole? I know ill still have the slot for the cd, but that doesnt bother me, has this been done before?

The reason the adapters are a bit pricey is to install a different DIN it requires you to buy a whole new housing for about $350 then you can install any DIN you want. The reason you can't just swap out the one in the ac controls are built into the stock stereo. So removing it would make your A/C unusable. There was a post about someone who did it but is very time consuming and requires you to have extensive knowledge/experiences with this sort of thing.
