What is this trim called?

What is this trim called?

I'm looking at an '05 G35X to replace mine that was totaled last week. I've had 2 of these cars and always had this fender/wheel well molding. The one I'm looking at tomorrow does not have these. What are these moldings? Are they standard or are they part of a special trim package? I just thought all the old Gs had these on the front and rear.
Can anyone clarify what they are called and why some have it and some don't? Are they not standard? Thanks,

Pretty sure they are OEM splash guards.

Oh...... so they are NOT standard, they are optional?

And why the heck is some other picture showing up in my post? I see a picture of a bunch of Gs lined up, not the photo I picked.
