Clearing amber from headlights?

Clearing amber from headlights?
Can it be done on the G35 Coupe? I know someone who has a coupe and we were pondering whether it can be done or not. I think it would look much better without that amber lenses in the housing.
I have an 04 WRX and was able to clear out the amber reflectors and lenses from the headlight housing, which made a 100% improvement on the overall look of the front end of the car. The process was a little nerve racking because of the fact that you had to bake the headlights in the oven at 200 degrees to losen the factory sealant but it was a piece of cake when it was all said and done. A little extra sealant to ensure a 100% seal all the way around and they were done. Take a look.
Normal headlights (not my car, I don't have any pics of it this way) and my cleared headlights. Thanks

Exactly, I think that looks so much better. Plus, she has an Ivory Pearl G and I think cleared lights look gorgeous on lighter colored cars. How did you do that? I'm sure you can buy them that way but it so much easier to do it yourself, not to mention cheaper. It was $850 for a set of JDMs for my car (just cleared of amber, not H.I.D. or anything), which is just ridiculous. I did mine for $4 (for the sealant from Pepboys) and 2 hours of my time.

So I take it you remove the whole housing from the car and dremel it from the back side through the hole? I assume also that you would have to use the flex cord extension to get in there properly, right? What bits did you use? And finally, how did you prevent or get all of the dust out of the housing? Sorry for all of the questions, just testing the waters. Never done a G before. Appreciate the help, Thanks

well you gotta pop open the headlights to get it done. You gotta be carefull when you do it cause you dont want to bend any of the inner housing. From there you gotta take apart everything and then you can pop off the amber turn assembly. You'll need to dremel out the amber piece then repaint it to match the housing of the headlight. Put it all back together with some new silicone and your set.
