STOCK HID Problem!
Precursor: I have Auto headlights and never messed with the HID bulb!
Anyone know wha the deal is. I drove my car tonight for a few miles, headlights working fine. Went to eat, came out, accidently turned the lights off and immediately turned them back on. Didn't notice it then, but when I got closer to home and on darker side streets, I thought my passenger side HID was out. Got home and sure as hell it was! turned the lights off then back on, and the HID came on giving off the cold, fairly blue color (indicating it was off for awhile).
Anyone have a clue as to why?
Thanks!

Sometimes the HID ballast misfires. This is very rare, but it does happen. I have seen it quite a few times. If this continues, check all your connections. Determine if there is any moisture in the area or any loose connections.
If you feel everything seems fine, but the problem persist do a test. Switch the driver's side HID capsule (another term for HID bulb) to the passenger. If it comes on normal and the problem now happens at the driver's side, then you know it's the HID capsule. Get it replaced. May I suggest a hint: E-bay or HID Planet.com is cheapest (no dealership unless they will do it for free!)
However, if the problem continues to play out on the passenger's side chances are the culprit is the HID ballast. Get it checked out at the dealership so they can replace it for free.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the heads up man!! Greatly Appreciated!
I think I may just let the dealer mess with it because I just don't want to hear them say....it looks like you were messing around in here and now we're not paying for it....LOL
Thanks again!
