I'll try to post some up-close shots of the rear bumper and the front inserts - the paint they used for it was really cool, because not only is it flat black and creates a "plastic-like" look, it also has some texture to it to where it REALLY looks like plastic... really trick in person...

and I'm still on the fence about the grille - it looks better after some adjustments we did, but we just can't get it to fit perfect... and it'll kill me to leave it on there if I can't get it PERFECT.

Homie - I live about 45 min south of Houston in a little town called El Campo - I have the only G coupe (one of my in-laws neighbors has a latino daughter that drives a black coupe with chrome 20's and is just hot!), my wife has 1 of 2 FX's, and there are 2 red 350Z's (and 2 RX8's and 1 modded RSX - and that's really it!) It is definitely truck town USA...

I knew I'd get the license plate comment - but I've already gotten three tickets (2 with my previous car and 1 in the G), so when the wife says to put on "the G-damn license plate already, you hard-headed ****" - you do it!

Hey, nice pics!! glad to see everything worked out so far. Where did you get the inserts for the front bumper?? Are they painted or are they actual inserts like the INGS ones?? This is one mod i was interested in doing, but the only one's i know of are the INGS and they are like $500!!

You should ask the body shop to adjust the grill, bumper, and hood to make the fitment better. I have seen the UTR Grill in person and my friend has it on his car, the fitment is perfect, also if you realize the Grill material is Urethane which means its flexible, hope this helps.

Like I said, I took it back to the shop to repaint the grille yesterday, and they tried to fix the fitment somewhat, but didn't really care all that much - I discovered earlier today that the brace that's behind the grille was bent at the bottom which was causing the middle to be pulled down (which is causing the gap) - I'm going to mess with everything myself tomorrow and get everything lined up perfect and then take some more pics to show the difference...

They taped off the insert-looking pieces on the bumper and painted them flat black before actually painting the rest of the bumper... the paint they used was really cool too because not only does it look like plastic - it also has a textured-type look to it that makes it REALLY look like plastic - very trick in person...

thanks for putting pics w/ the license plate. i'm def. going with that bumper and will def put the license plate. its 75 bucks a ticket over here plus they try to fine you for everything else (drop, rims, exhaust, tint) if you don't have this thing we call "Recon". LOoks good!! I might off set my license plate.

can't wait to see it w/ the winnings

Looks nice! I like the blacked out areas on the front & rear bumper. I blacked out my rear exhaust facia shortly after i got my 2003 G35 6mt...

Like escobar929 asked...Is that a real Nismo bumper or a replica???

It's a replica - there was no way I was going to shell out $500+ more dollars for the real deal (esp. if you saw up close how good this thing fits) - it took a little more work for the body shop to get the bumper "smoothed-out" but in the end, it turned out great... I know I said I was going to post more pics with the adjusted grill, but I just haven't had the time lately (had a new niece born last week that had some breathing/lung problems and is in TX children's hospital - so I've been spending a lot of time there - prayers are appreciated!)

My wheels should be here by the end of the week (I get the final word tomorrow) so there will be tons of new pics as soon as they're installed...

RugRat - you were one of the inspirations behind the rear bumper - we would have had more in common if I could have found the Nismo wheels I wanted for a price I could afford (around $4k for 19x9.5/10.5 - fat lips - with tires)

look good to me too. i love the Nismo front. do most aftermarket grills (non JDM) look like that on the top (where it meets the top of the hood; goes straight instead of curve up?). looks a little iffy to me. still nice though. good deals.

What I did to *kinda* fix that problem is bend the metal brace behind the grille to make it "arch" a little more... it looks much better now than in the pictures as all of the gaps around the sides and bottom are perfectly even, and the top gap is only slightly larger in the middle now (I am going to post new pics tonight now so I can make myself feel better once and for all!)
