Colored Clear Coat???

Colored Clear Coat???

Has anyone ever heard of this? I was thinking about getting a CF Hood and someone told me that I should get it color clear coated I dunno, just wondering if any of you guys have heard of it.

how can something be colored if its clear

haven't heard of it as being called, "color clear coated," however painting the carbon fiber the same color as the car but showing the weaves can be done.

Stained glass, colored lights, it's probably just tinted so the carbon look shows through and it looks like red or green or blue carbon fiber, or whatever other color.

My friend painted his RX7 House of Kolor's Candy Blue and the effect was acheived though using a silver base and blue clear over it. The more coats of clear the darker the blue became. LOOKED AWESOME!!!
