Hey everyone. I can't find this because I don't even know what to search for... But I tried . I have a 2005 G35X that I just put I picked up and I love it. My question is... What is the intake like duct under the license plate area in the front? I see some cars have it and some don't. Is this exclusive to the 35X and what is it? Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find it . Thanks!

 

It's exclusive to the G35X. I had been told it was there to provide additional air to cool the transfer case, but someone else pointed out it's blocked by the bottom of the radiator assembly. So it may just be a design appearance thing with no real functional purpose.
