Lightbulb Running footwell lights 12V into center console

Hello all! Recently acquired a mint 2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe and have been loving this forum. While the car already has a ton done to it, both mechanically and cosmetically, I've taken it upon myself to do some things I never did with my previous vehicles due to me not keeping them long enough to justify them. The first thing I did was purchase some RGB LED footwell lighting that I plan to keep on orange to match the factory dash lighting. However, these lights require a 12V cigarette lighter style plug to get power. There are two 12V power outlets in my vehicle (to my knowledge), one just below the stereo and one in the center console. I would like to run the plug through the center console to keep a "wireless" look, but I'm worried that it may be difficult in the sense that I may have to pull the entire center console. Could anybody enlighten me on how to run a plug through the center console and how difficult it is? Any knowledge is greatly appreciated!

U can just cut off the cigarette lighter plug and then use the existing wires to tap into 12v power from anywhere. Maybe even run it straight to the fuse box.

Use a fuse tap adapter and run it off the cigarette lighter fuse. That way you can fuse the cigarette lighter with the same fuse and run a smaller gauge wire and smaller fuse for the secondary/tap circuit to your new lights.

Thinking I may take the advice of both of you. Will probably cut the 12V plug off and run the lights to the fuse box if running the 12V plug into one of the ports turns out to be a pain, but don't want to take that route if it's unnecessary and I won't know for a couple of weeks as I'm out of state. But it does seem like the best route to keep a clean look. Thank you both for the recommendations.
