simple question

i just recently bought a 2003 g35 coupe, and i notice there are red lens covers for lights on the bottom of the doors....but in my car car they dont light up at all. are they supposed to?

I just walked out to look at my wife's, and as far her 03 goes, the lights under her doors are clear and they do light up when the doors are open.
Any help?

the red ones do not. there jst reflectors. however under the door there is a light coming out (door sill light)

thxs guys, i knew about the white clears under the door(so kool!) but i guess the reds are just reflectors. it would be a nice little mod to do to get those babies to light up though.
