"VIP style" sedan body kits

While I haven't spent a lot of time doing so, I've poked around a little bit with some of the more "traditional" VIP kit providers -- Junction Produce and the like.

It seems as if the VIP guys are ignoring the Skyline, which makes sense, as it's totally not in the luxury segment.

However, in the states, at least, the Infiniti G35 is more of a "luxury" or "VIP" kinda vehicle.

I'm wondering if anyone is making more VIP style kits for this car yet. The Wald kit is so-so... I'm not all that excited about it. It's too plain for the lines of the G sedan.

The Impul, Giallia, AIT, and other kits like that are too boy racer and too sporty.

I'm just looking for something chunky and clean without huge vents or grilles... The ED kit is, so far, the "simplest", but it's still a little busy in the front for me.

Pics?

wow...

hello rare person like my self..

yes yes i have been looking into VIP style myself.. unfortunately as you said JP does not have a kit. I've been buggin them since last sema to build us a kit. They see the SKYLINE as the past generation skylines.... Plus there is not a VIP trend here in the states so they don't see the G here as a luxury/VIP car..

Wald and nismo are the two cleanest kit that come close to what VIP is. I guess its more SPORT VIp as you call it!.

I think personally that you can build a classy close to VIP car with what we have now. get japan's attention and maybe they'll start pulling things together.

www.vipstylecars.com has some great information about VIP.

talk to me on aim if you have it about VIP also.

Go for some VIP wheels for now. Air runner came out with an air suspension for the G also.

either some Amistads. www.amistad.ne.jp i know the usa distributor so let me know if u want those. Can get some JP wheels too. u know the junction site.

Let me know... I have interesting ideas about the VIP trend......

Ooh... AirRunner kit? That sounds pretty cool.

I mean, the G35 is trapped in an in-between place. It's not VIP enough in Japan (because it is simply a Skyline there -- a cheap everyday person's car), and, as you said, there is no VIP trend in the states.

Maybe someone needs to start a VIP style aero company for the states

Then again, I am sure that in a year or two the companies that make kits for cars like the 80Cresta/Chaser/MKII may start to make for the G. Insurance/Diana stuff is pretty dope and they make a lot of stuff for Skylines that isn't exactly VIP but it's not exactly "sport", either.

I was thinking about Autocouture or SSR Euroline.... the Autocouture is a little too Mercedes-copy I think. The J-Line monoblock is pretty cool, though. Work also has a couple of interesting monoblocks.

I photoshopped some stuff... my server is down right now... post later.

Lock Smice FAT

SSR Vienna EV

The Work was the Euroline, not the SSR.

I don't know what kit it is in the photo. It's a random side profile photo I had found off some site in Japan -

http://vvvf.jpn.ph/~ara-masa/index2.html

There's a gallery in there with that car in it.

The Junction wheels are very nice, and very expensive as well!

"VIP" style is just fun. Besides, the bitches don't care how fast the car is, they care about how it fronts

Yeah. Like G35Lin, I too have talked to the JP guys and they told me that the skyline is not considered a VIP type car in Japan. Hence the lack of product for it.

There are plenty of non-VIP cars that get "vip-look" kits... The Legend, the Sentia... these wouldn't be considered your "classic" VIP cars.

The Skyline sedan is just in a funky place. I expect to see more stuff come out for it in 2007-2008 when the 6spds start to hit the used market more cheaply. Right now most kids who have that kind of coin to spend aren't putting it into G35 sedans, you know?

yea.. that is true.. '

u really think that in 2007 or 2008 they will build the G into a VIP car??? i would think they would ditch the idea as a whole..... hm...

also on that RSS site. which car are u talking about? The red and white one? if so, thats the nismo kit. "factory" kits. Its the cleanest VIPish kit i can find so far! Or the WALD lip kit. thats all..

What are u think of Thorax??

i really like the rear and sides of the sportec... just not sure what i would do for the front. it's one of the cleanest rear bumpers i've seen.

i don't like the aggressive looks... the front of the sportec one would look good if it didnt have so much going on. i'm definitely more into cleaner understated kits. nismo is definitely clean, but the large openings are a bit of a turn off... not too many choices out there huh? hehe
