Day one of vented fender project

Well got some work done on one of my fenders today. These pics are pretty raw. I still have to glaze then primer. But you get the idea.

Hey man those look nice. What did you do to make those. More details. I'm not experienced like that nor do I want to attempt, just curious.

Metal, I took a body hammer and shaped some metal then welded it in. I then used filler.

G352NV,

How do you make both vent's symmetrical or the same exact size/shape?? I know you can use templates...but I know metal work isnt as easy as 'cutting and pasting' paper!

if they turn out the way you want them too, do you think you would ever sell these fenders?

LOL Just hit the other thread. Didn't realize you had already started the project. Looks like it's turning out nice. Already looks like it might look better than the Ings+1. Hard to tell, but it looks like you made some minor detail changes?

Yeah I didnt want them JUST LIKE the ings. I wanted people to know the are not the same. The other one is going to be tough because to match it up will take time. BUT it will be VERY close. But Im in it for the long haul, Ill do whatever it takes. Once I get them done Im going to see how much it cost's to make a mould of them. If its not to bad Im going to have them make in glass or carbon. Im off the today and tomorrow. Ill get back on em on friday.
