Changed LED's no blinker when moving

OK...this makes no sense to me...

Changed the rear turn signal blubs to LED's. I am also going to change the front, but haven't yet. I did install the load resistor on the rear and I got the one that is to be used when changing out both the front and and rear. I wanna say it's something like a 6ohm.

The blinkers work just fine when the car is not running, both the regular and hazards. When I am driving the car, neither work. They come on one time, and then go off. I can stop the car, and they work again. My only guess is the load is screwing the flasher up...I am hoping that when I change the front out everything works ok.

anyone have any ideas?

thanks
