Interesting way to mount the E-Brake pedal!

Well, I have a 5AT, and as everyone knows, the ebrake is the pedal and when you buy the OEM Aluminum pedals, it includes a clutch pedal for the ebrake. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit perfect, so most people use epoxy to stick it on. My old man.. he was not feeling that idea!

He ended up getting an old Door Hinge (the side that lines up with the lock to give you a visual) and cut it and shaped it into the core of the clutch pedal, then he lined up the hole with the hinge to mark it to drill a hole. The E-Brake has a hole, so we used a flat bolt and washer/nut to fasten it. To make sure the bolt wouldn't move, we soldered it to the medal plate, and then tightened it. It's not going anywhere, and it looks very clean!

It's tough to get a picture now since it's already applied. I could probably take one from the bottom where the nut is.

I bought my kit from everythingg35.com

I used epoxy to bond the pedal to the ebrake arm & duct tape to hold it in place until it cured...worked like a charm.

I was bent set on using epoxy, but like I said ,my dad thought it would get loosened over time and usage, so we went the route I said. It came out real clean. I'm very happy, I'll snap a pic of the bottom of the pedal when I get home tonight.

So let me get this straight. You fabricated your e-brake pedal to look like a clutch pedal?

No. The standard 5AT aluminum pedals DO NOT bring a pedal for the e-brake. So it looks pretty ugly without it (stands out like a sore thumb.) Some people realized that the ebrake pedal was very similar in size to the clutch pedal, however the clutch pedal is a bit too large, so it doesn't stay on. People used epoxy to stick it to the pedal, but my old man's solution was to make in essence a plug to fit into the clutch pedal cover to allow you to fasten it with a bolt/washer/screw.

I just removed the rubber from the center circle and used a machine screw, locking washer and a nut through the hole there from the factory already... took 2 minutes
