What do you think of these Grade A hoods found on ebay from good sellers? Is it worth it or am I just wasting my time?

i'd be interested in a hood like that for my sedan. i exchanged a few emails with vis racing. they said if there was enough interest (15+) they'd look into a cf hood for sedans. i initially asked them to design something for sedans to clear the stillen supercharger. i explained that quite a few people (particularly on this forum) would find more interest in the stillen sc if the hood wasn't so... different. this was before i found out that stillen is redesigning their hood. so i let it go. but they would make one if we can create some interest and let them know.

 

I don't know about those things. Car parts like that on Ebay usually turn out to be a lesson in "you get what you pay for." I would suggest you guys get a group buy going with a reputable carbon shop that can build the hoods to your spec and quality.

i have to admit that i don't think i can wait, though. i'm probably going to go with the vortech now. vis racing is very approachable and open to new ideas. i'm sure that if enough of you sent them emails, or called, they would design one. i for one, would be interested in a vented hood. kind of the like the coupe one already has. if anybody wants that one, let me know, i would love to get a few names to back me up.
