Ok...just talked to Grubbs. He said that the only way he would discount the price at all would be if the battery covers were all being shipped to the same place. He said that they do not mark it up and that they would not be making $$$ if he were to discount the price and send it to a bunch of different places. I don't know if I totally believe him but he wouldn't really budge. I even asked if he could just give free shipping and he said no! So...I will give it one more try. If we can get at least 10 people in the Los Angeles area to buy, maybe we can get a discount.
***Only add your name to the list if you definitely would buy the JDM battery cover at Grubbs' price of $49.95 and free shipping***
If the list is long enough I will try again...

I believe him. How much do you think they make on a $50 item? I can bet you it isn't a whole lot.

If anyone is interested, I still have my JDM battery cover for the G35. I bought it from StrictlyZ and it didn't need any modification. However, no hardware will be included (push pins, mounting bracket, etc.) because I don't have them. Also, the part that snaps in the middle was painted silver to match my plenum and it wasn't a particularly good job. If you are interested send me a PM. I will let it go very cheap as it is mainly a project but anyone with some decent DIY skills should be able to make it work nicely.

Sundeviljay: Thanks for taking the time to try and make this happen. I am interested in getting the cover for $49.99 with free shipping, however, if you have to have the single-ship-point requirement I do not live in the LA area so that wouldn't work for me. JohnnyG and I live in the same city but that makes only 2 of us and that isn't enough quantity to make a difference. Thanks again for checking.

Well, my right hand side battery cover arrived this week from "Grubbs Infiniti". I'm not sure what I was expecting but, seems like the cover still needs to be modified to be secured in place, I thought that there was no alterations to this part if purchased from "Grubbs". Only one of the five plastic snap holes seems to line up, and the order did come with an white plastic L-bracet, there is no place to mount this without drilling holes into the car, am I confused? Has anyone else had this problem too?

there's a hole on the left side, place the plastic rivet thru the hole and the L bracket and that should help keep the cover from moving. If your still having problems call me at 619-723-4358 and i'll help you out. I got mines on for about a month now and it's fine.

Trust me guys the modded cover is worth the 50.00 plus shipping. It REALLY cleans things up under the hood!
