Springtime bug splats
Yea I've searched the threads for cleaning but what are your methods for cleaning the multicolored species that are glued" to the front? Anybody come across a solution that is really fast and non abrasive? Keeping a good coat of wax seems to work the best for me but a spray critter softener would be nice.

Clean them off with a Clay bar. But the Best protection is Spraying your front end with "PAM" cooking spray, You may laugh but it works before trips, The Bugs just slide off, especially when you hit it with a pressure washer, Only downside is it does get a little Greasy, so spray very lightly

I'd like to take this time and go ahead and warn people again that it will soon be time for "LoveBugs" to come into full force. I made a post about this around this time last year [closer to August]; these "LoveBugs" are small and black with either a red or orange dot their backs and fly around mating constantly. These multiply VERY fast and are especially bad in the southern states [Texas to Florida] - created in at a University in Florida they were originally used to eat misquitoes but the University didn't anticipate their rate of reproduction...These small bugs are only harmless if left on the car for extended [week or so] periods of time because they contain an acid within them [like many other bugs also] and if not washed off in time will actually take the paint with them when you go to scrubbing on them [and we all know how great Infiniti paint is from the start].
As for the solution. Try water and baking soda [especially to get the "LoveBugs" off- acid and base = neutral] in a spray bottle and most bugs should come right off. Let the solution sit for awhile on the car [just a few minutes- wash something else while you wait] If the bugs still do not come off richen up the mixture alittle but with more baking soda. Not everything will come off with this but most should; nothing alittle more elbow grease wouldn't hurt.

Thanks HomieG, I'll try the baking soda solution. It's always interesting to greet my biker friend who visits after a 100 mile trip. When he smiles there are bugs bodies on his teeth and face. In Delaware, helmets are an option so he enjoys the freedom but he hates "Junebugs", says it's like getting hit by a marble.
