scraped side sill

Last night I took a corner a little too close and scraped the underside of my side sill against the curb. Is it easy to take off and replace? I wonder how much they cost? I might try spraying some silver spray paint on it, then wipe it off hopefully filling in the scrapes with silver paint. Think it will work?

No, I don't. If you're going to do a cheap, fast fix, then at least get a bottle of the matching touch-up paint and brush it into the scrapes. Probably wouldn't cost more than $150-$200 to paint, plus whatever to smooth it over if it's damaged pretty bad.

Side sills will run you about $700 for a pair. The good news is they are already painted. I'm not sure about ease of install. Go with the touch up paint first.

Yeah, depending on how bad the damage is... I'd have to agree with Skeleton. Try touch up paint first. If it doesnt work out, then send it to a bodyshop and have them fix it.
