is it possible for me toI change my 03 trunk (with trunk release) for an 03.5 or higher trunk?

 

I'm a little confused on what you're attempting to go for here. Are you trying to find a trunk without the integrated release?

my 03 has the old style trunk with the trunk release button. I was wondering if I can just swap it out with a model that doesn't have the release button (ie 2004)

 

Oh ok I see. Unless there is some problem with the trunk, it seems like a bit of a hassle to go through all of that because of a button. I own a 2004.5 Coupe and it has the integrated trunk release as well, although it comes in the form of a pull cord not a button.
