question about the ings replica & beefing up the fiberglass

question for you guys with ings replica...how bad or good was the fitment on the ings replica...it looks like I have to either get the ings kit or replace the factory bumpers I had 2 minor accident that the ings kit would be able to cover the damages.....another question would it be a bad idea beefing up the fiberglass on the kits by laying down a few more layers of fiberglass?

www.ingsusa.com

No need to beef up the fiberglass on the real deal. Fitment is great. If you're worried about bumping or scraping, I suggest the Hybrid Aero front lip.

No need to beef up the replica either. Its a direct mold made from the original, making it a direct second generation mold. There will be very little... if any differences from 350forums' replica to the real one. Once its painted and installed, no one, not even the people from INGs can tell if its real or not.

Ive had the knock off, the old one. It was crap! Dont even bother with it. Keep in mind that with the ings its a lip kit. It has to butt up to the front bumper and comes halfway up the rear bumper. It should be thin enough for a good fit. I have the sides on my car now, they are the Hybrid. I will say that even though they are glass they flex without cracking. Very good product!
Im not sure about the new knock off coming out. But if its anything like the Kenstyle it will be NICE!

Every "replica" of this ings kit i've seen thus far was off by an inch to 3 inches on the fitment of the front and rear lips. I've also heard stories of the "replica" sideskirts being different lengths and not fitting correctly.

Get the rear thing in Hybrid Aero. As I already said, fitment is great and the Hybrid Aero is flexible, durable, and lighter than fiberglass.
