Got Egged....HELP!!!

5 cars along our street got egged Friday night. It was Saturday noon before I noticed. I washed it immediately under the shade, polished with Maguires cleaner then followed up with Maguires Tech Wax. Still can see some minor blemishes. Did not use electric buffer. Anyway of getting rid of the blemish by hand. Also, the area where the egg landed, there are round scratch marks(deep). Thanks!

Damn, I know what that's like. When I had my 350z the same thing happened. I lived in a neighborhood with college students and I should have expected it to happen. Luckily I caught it early and the scratches were not noticeable. Good luck.

if an egg is thrown at a car hard enough, it cuts into the paint. When the egg hits the surface, it crumbles. However, there is a part of the egg that hits the paint at a perfectly perpandicular angle. As soft as the egg shell is, since its straight on, the egg shells actually cut into the paint, and will leave a ring of scratches where the egg hit. Go to the detailing sub-forum and see what ways you can go about buffing out those cuts.

I would try clay barring it, scratch-X, and waxing it over.

Thanks! I rubbed the surface 5-6 times before the residue came off. I will look to see what I can do about the scratches.

If you got the "Touch of Class" paint treatment when you bought the car, you are covered for this.

Do you know how did it? Maybe someone from the neighborhood? I'd shoot them in the face with a paintball gun with frozen paintballs.

just fyi... you cant freeze paintballs. The mixture is specifically made so that the liquid cant freeze, and the shell does not harden.
