Trunk bracket? Star bolt? What are you doing? Which bracket? What bottom two? Are you working on a coupe or a sedan? If it's a "star" bolt, you probably mean either a philips or torx bolt, and if so my only answer would be to use a philips (star) screw driver / bit or a torx driver / bit. A little more detail in what you're doing, trying to remove, install, work out or whatever would help us provide you with the right info...

Ahhh ok, that's an easy one... You need a torx bit or driver. I can't recal if I had torx heads on mine when I swapped my trunk with a carbon fiber one, but I've since replaced them with 10mm bolts. Much easier to work with...

I guess the only suggestion I can make for you now that you've stripped them, is get a drill and drill bit (big enough to cover the center section of the "star area" and drill out the bolt heads. Just be sure to keep the drill centered and the heads will "drill off". You can then pull the lid off and remove the bottom end of the "headless" bolts (struck on the OEN lid) with a pair plyers or vise grips. You now will need new bolts, so take a ride to the depot or your local hardware shop and pick some up.

Good luck with your project....

I remember when I did a trunk swap that it was possible to remove the trunk w/o messing w/ the screws at all, you just UNLATCH the SHOCK/DAMPENER... and PUSH DOWN REALLY HARD TO release the trunk lid
