Yeah I was just dickin with it and had that thought. Im not really in any shape to be screwin with it. Im going to stop for now and do the other tomorrow. These shocks dont seem that strong to me. It flows up and down with no effort at all. Has anyone ever had the OEM hood off? I have to admit its not that heavy. I think my carbon one is pretty close in weight.

Not sure about the G but the Z hood is like 24.5 lbs and a good carbon fiber Z hood weighs about 17.5 lbs.

Thanks for giving me the kick in the pants to get this done, mine have been sitting there for a couple of months. I just banged down the flange that runs along the side of the engine bay above the inner fender, then drilled a 1/4" hole right through to the wheel well.

Put some loctite on the pin and bolted it up. The hole will be right above the a-arm, jack the car up a bit so you can fit your hand in and thread the bolt. I also notched the battery covers a bit where they meet the damper pin. Nothing to it, works like a dream.

I was worried you'd see the green through the hood gap when it's closed, but you can't see anything. It would be nice if they were a little shorter, then you could use an existing bolt hole right on that flange. That may be how the Top Secret ones work, they look a little shorter.

Would it be possible to take closeup pics of the mounting points on both ends of the strut, and from various angles? Thanks!
