Best WAY (most cost effective also) to install headlight PROJECTORS

Time to have fun w/ the fine tuning mods =) I really want to replace my HIDs w/ some projectors, is there a good website out there that sells kits for this conversion?

Also curious which projectors produce the best view/lighting/intensity. I think the MAXIMAS provide the best look no?

How much money am I looking towards spending? I know GDRAGON provides the service but it seems rather costly.

Please advise.

Thanks =)

Nothing comes close to S2000 projectors! It has the nicest cut off, most even and wide spread light pattern. S2000 stock bulbs are also 4700k, which is slightly bluer that regular OEM bulbs (or at least thats what I was told)

Honestly, I have no idea. My knowledge of retro's are limmited, since thats a mod I've yet to do, and not planning on doing for a good while. However, as far as HID projectors are concerned, there is nothing that is as good as S2000 projectors. A good website/forum to learn about retro's and HIDs is www.HIDplanet.com.

Most cost effective is to do it yourself. You can get a good set of projectors and shrouds for under $150. Then scrape the black shield off your D2R stock bulbs to make them like D2S bulbs. You'll never find anyone offering retrofits for that kind of price.

I agree about the S2000 projectors being very good, but I haven't heard of them using 4700K bulbs. The stock bulbs are Philips D2S in the S2000s, which is 4100K. I haven't even heard of 4700K bulbs before. A 4700K bulb would actually be LESS bright than the 4100K.

The reason why the S2000 projector is so bright and why it has so much blue is due to projector design, not bulb design. The reflective surfaces on the projector bowls are very high quality. The lens is totally clear.

The S2000 projectors are really hard to find though. And if you get the older ones, you'll have to cut the metal bracket to isolate them from the rest of the headlight bracket. The newer S2000 projectors are freestanding units, but they may not be as bright as the older ones.

The LS430 and TSX/TL projectors are also very good. But the most important thing is to make sure that the projector will fit in the G35 headlight. I think the E46 projectors are a perfect fit. I'm using X5 projectors, and they barely fit. The E46 ones will give you more room for error when it comes time to mount them and making sure that the back cover can still be screwed on.

That wouldn't work anyway, I am a service advisor for Acura, and I'm assuming infiniti is the same, whenever you warranty a part, you have to replace it with the exact same part, not a part off a newer car.

What Ford and my Insurance did for my was cover the cost of the old part and reduct that from the new one I wanted. It was a 99 bumper on a 98 explorer.

In your case b/c the '06 lights are cheaper you might be about to get them!!!
