HELP. how to remove center climate/clock bezel?
HELP. how to remove center climate/clock bezel?
i've noticed over the past month a very irritating rattling noise coming from the center area of my g35 coupe. i've finally figured out that it was a rattling noise made by the vibration of the plastic clear lense that covers the climate display controls above the clock. anyone else have this problem? any remedies? i figured i could pull out that whole bezel, (because just by me putting slight pressure on lens keeps it from rattling) so i was going to put some foam tape or something to keep it from vibrating?
so my question i guess is:
1) anyone else remedy this same problem?
2) how do you remove that overall piece that houses the climate control display as well as clock?
thanks in advance!

You didn't say which year, so I am assuming 03 - 04. That center piece is a biatch to get out. You have to pinch down and pull toward you, however since it the surface is smooth it is really hard to get a good grip. I followed the instructions on this site

Scroll down to the part that says - "Cluster Lid Finisher"

Yeah use both hands and pinch/pull towards you and once you feel it separate from the dash use the tips of your fingers to grab hold of the rear edge of the bezel that meets up with the top of the dash.
