6000k HID user's come in

For those of you that have the 6000k already, what combo did you go for?

HID: 6000k Philips
FOG: ?
Clearance: ?
Turn lights: ?

If you could also post pics on how your combo looks, I'd appreciate it.

Ill try to take pictures to do a DIY because many people have been asking for one. There was a thread with a link to a pictured explanation, but it is gone now. I have done the fog's and clearance change on m ex 04 G, but I forgot if the HIDs are changed the same way. Are the HIDs changed differently?

If money isnt an issue, then I would go with Philips 6000k H4 HID kit. I have HID fogs, and I think it was well worth the time and money.

God that looks nice! Thats what I want. Money is no issue, I already have the Philips Ultinon 6000k bulbs D2R. I bought it on a group buy at $210 a pair. They are for the upper "Low Beams." Now I need to get the rest.

From what I read on the other thread, you bought 2 pairs (4 bulbs) right? I thought that the bulbs were different?

The corners you got from www.superbrightled.com 9led ones right? Can you give me a direct link on that site as I am too dumb to find them myself lol.

Here you go... http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...gi?product=CAR

For my fog lights, I change it form a halogen bulb with a complete HID kit, including the ballast and igniter.

Looks good.

Did you use an H4 harness with a direct lead from the battery or just hook the ballasts up to the original H4 plugs?

H4 plugs > Ballast/igniter > H4 HIDs :)

Hopefully your stock wiring will be able to handle the load from 4 HID bulbs. I'm trying to get a H4 harness with bixenon solenoid capability.

It will. Its a kit thats made specifically to work as a halogen > HID conversion. I had the same kit on my other car for a long time, and it worked perfectly with no problems. And besides... one HID bulb only uses 35w. The stock halogen H4 almost had double the power consumption.

I had the wiring go bad on my Acura Legend when I did the direct 9006 plug to the ballast.

It's the initial current draw from HID bulbs that's very high.

Wow, great info! I didnt know that. Thanks! :) I still think I'll be ok since my kit didnt fry out my wiring from my civic. *knock on wood*
