05 Sedan Spoiler install

Okay, considering getting a spoiler for my 05 BS sedan. I realize I'll need to drill (gasp). My question is, how is the wiring done? I am assuming that the lid is two sheets of metal with an air space between (from hearing complaints of filings being caught inside of it). Do I drill thru 2 sheets and get the break light wiring thru the felt cover? Or am I way off base and over-analyzing it?

Thanks,

on a factory spoiler you will be drilling 5 holes total. 2 small 7/16 holes that will be seen when the trunk is open but are then covered by a nut to hold down the front of the spoiler. then 2 larger 11/16 holes that need to be drilled carfully and not to penetrate the second part of the sheetmetal. and then a 5/8 hole for the spolier wiring harness that comes on the spoiler that connects to a wiring harness on the underside of the trunk lid with the felt cover being removed. thats it and then you could diconnect the oem 3rd brake light. oh yeah then you would have to get a blow gun and blow most of the shaving out of the trunk.
