Quick question on turn signal
Quick question on turn signal
My coups at the dealer or I would just check, but is the side marker light only used when the lights are on, when the day light running lights are on, or when the turn signal is on?
if they're not used when the turn signal is on, is there an easy way to run a turn signal wire down to them to use them as a turn signal instead? Where is the turn signal wire located?

The side marker lights are just parking lights. To keep that AND add the turn signal functionality, you'd have to modify the light for a dual filament bulb. The bulbs in those are tiny, so you won't find such replacement with dual filament.
I am wicked 1337, I don't require a dual filament bulb. I just need the signals which I can digitally process with some extra components to select whichever feature is currently active. Ah yes, the benefits of suffering through 4 years of computer engineering at college. lol, I said wicked 1337.
So when I get my coup back I'll have to splice out the turn signal wires I guess.

i'm wicked l33t too! i minored in computer programming back in the college days of yesteryear. as a result my wicked l33t skills allowed me to utilize the S34RCH PHUNc710N on this website. as a result i received this link which lead me to this helpful link that explains everything needed for a blinking sidemarker. truly l33t indeed.
Hey we all know that the search on this site sucks, because a 1337 programxor like me didn't write it. I always find it's less work for me to just ask, go about my business, and wait for an awswer. Besides, it allows people who know more about this than I do to answer and feel good about themselves. oh btw, thanks for searching for me!
