The price of painting veilside kits

I just been to a popular body shop around my area. They said $265 max painted/installed, sounds like a really good price. What do u guys think?

$265 painted and installed is a good price... I've seen people shell out well into and over $100 to paint just the lip, so if you take into consideration they're going to paint a lip, a rear valance and a total of four side pieces, as well as install everything, it's a very respectable price qoute...

Just make sure they know what they're doing in working with such parts, and not just throwing words into the air. Getting a cheap price is not worth a dime if the work ends up "cheap". You don't want people turning to you and saying, well you got what you paid for, nor do you want the shop adding some $$$ to the end bill when it comes to pick the kit up stating "it needed extra prep"....

The best advice I can give you about such qoutes is to ask to see other kits (if they have any around) they have recently done. Most "good" shops will also keep a small photo album of their more memorable or custom cars, which shows they have pride in their work and don't mind showing it off. If you feel they're legit and everything sounds kosher, drop your stuff, keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best...
