Hows the paint holding up on your "ebay" spoiler?

After reading countless posts and looking at hundreds of pics (most of which are bad for some reason), i've decided I like the oem style spoiler. Only there is a huge price difference between places like spoiler depot and the dealer. I've also looked at some board sponsors. You guys that have the spoilers from places like spoiler depot (and other ebayers), hows the paint holding up? I figure the plastic wont change much but the paint is my concern. Thanks guys.

it's not the paint you should be worried about. It is the brake light, and gasket mounting system on them. Water tight integrity is important in a car.

Wow, that would suck. Definitely not worth the savings. That's the only knock i've seen so far aside from one guy that said the one he put on another car faded quicker than the rest of the car. I'm not a tight *** by any means but if I can save $450 on something the dealer offers, I'm all over it.

I really cant imagine how the paint would fade under the clear coat, right? For the paint to fade it would have to be exposed to the elements, which it is not. It's "encapsulated" in cler coat. I guess the clear coat could oxidize but that could be buffed out I would think. I'm far from an expert. I would definitely check the sealing of the brake light though. I think I've got the dealer talked into adding the spoiler for me at no charge. We'll see.
