I'm in the process of painting my grill black right now. It's a lot more work than I expected. I sanded all the stock paint off first. That was the hardest part.

I am using DupliColor Auto Spray paint. Here are the paint codes:
DS039 Primer
DS100 Universal Black
DS125 Clear Coat

Here's the link:

Good luck!

I'll be doing this soon as well...
At this point I can't decide if the logo should be blacked out or not....
I like the total black pic of 20004DSC

In the other pics it looks a little too bling on the black background.
Is it just the pics?
How does it really look?

I'll be leaving the emblem chrome so I'll let you know how it looks. If it is too bling, I'll paint it as well.

Not yet. I've been pretty busy and the weather has been too cold lately. I'm very close to being finished though.

I am already half way done with mine. Primer done, sanded, then primer again. And smoothed out anything bad. Then paint. Letting it dry right now. So once it drys I will go over it again to see if it needs more paint or I can start with the clear. Might need some sanding between the paint and the clear, I will see shortly.

I will post pics of mine once its done.

DupliColor has a chrome paint, but I've never tried it.

I've tried that chrome paint for something before. It comes out looking like an aluminum color. Not even close to a chrome or polished look...

Here are some dark pics of the grill completed. The rest of the car is filthy. It's been raining and its going to rain over the next few days. The color isn't off, its just the car is grey because of the dirt! hehe.

Came out great. I still want to wet sand it and polish it some more though to make it look perfect. I will try to take some daylight pics when the weather clears up. I also took off the infiniti and g35 off the rear and left the emblem on.

I can easily strip the paint off the emblem if I didn't like it after all. That is the one piece I did not prep on purpose in case I didn't like it. So I should be able ot remove the paint easily on that part. Here is day time pics as well. Just washed the car so it still has some water spots on the grill.

Also pics of the tail debadged. I think it looks good without the chrome emblem on the front. It actually would look out of place with it chrome there.

Here's my thing, the emblem in the rear is chrome, the trim around the windows is chrome and the door handles are chrome. That's why I will keep the emblem in the front chrome. I am NOT planning on blacking out any of the other items I listed above.
